Don Hayes will be Chatt Hills First Mayor |
Voters in Chattahoochee Hill Country went to the polls in December 2007 and elected a mayor and five city council members..
- In the race for mayor, Don Hayes defeated Tom Reed 470 votes to 340, taking 58 percent of the vote.
- In District 2, Carl Hattaway took 57 percent of the votes, besting Julie Petty Wall 95 votes to 73.
- In District 3, David Hanson defeated Laurie Searle 135 votes to 99 and receiving 58 percent of the vote.
- In District 5, the closest race ended with Rodney Peek receiving 104 votes, or 53 percent, to the 93 garnered by Ernie Henderson.
A total of 810 registered voters, including those casting provisional ballots, took part in the runoff election. That puts voter participation at 51.7 percent, virtually identical to the number of voters casting ballots in November.
